Innovations
Life-saving technology is rapidly advancing and the communities we serve continue to grow and change. Iredell Health System is committed strategically to maintaining quality healthcare and reviewing the need for expansion or enhancement of our services. Gifts to Innovation Funds are investments in the long-term view of care at Iredell Health System, which makes our vision possible.
ENDOWMENT GROWTH FUND
The Endowment Growth Fund provides a permanent source of funding for a myriad of health care needs and can stabilize the flow of resources in volatile times. Gifts to the Endowment Growth Fund are invested by the Foundation in support of changing health care needs from sponsored care for new technology and new facilities.
The Endowment Growth Fund operates in perpetuity. Only a portion of the earnings on the original gifts may be spent each year, according to the Foundation's endowment spending policy.
Community
CARDIAC & VASCULAR CARE FUND
Give the gift of heart health by contributing to Iredell Health Foundation Cardiac & Vascular Fund. The fund supports the purchase of new cardiac and vascular equipment, patient assistance, and educational activities. Your gift helps our neighbors live longer, healthier lives.
This year we are introducing the Heart of Jazz as a music-filled evening to raise funds for cardiac & vascular services. You can join in by becoming a sponsor. Learn more at HeartofJazz.org.
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH FUND
Funds are available for outpatient behavioral health needs like counseling, education, treatment, and the development of new programming.
DIABETES EDUCATIONAL FUND
Our Diabetes Team at Iredell gives our patients the expertise and support needed to understand and take control of their diabetes. Your gift helps us to continue to provide these educational opportunities. in Iredell and surrounding counties.
People
Our people are the heart of Iredell Health System. It is the nurses, clinicians and frontline staff that are remembered for their compassion, care and expertise. That is why we are committed to their continued development.
NURSING EXCELLENCE FUND
Nurses are a critical component at Iredell Health System and this fund supports continuing education opportunities at national conferences, specialty certifications, and leadership programs, which makes possible continuous improvement in patient safety and quality of care.

THE PHILIP S. CREWS SR & FRANCES D. CREWS FUND
In January 2021, the family of Philip S. Crews created this fund after he lost a courageous battle to COVID. Phil and Fran were known for their generosity and for helping those in need. The Philip S. Crews Sr. and Frances D. Crews Fund is a guiding light for others in the community who would like to give back. The Fund supports campus enhancement projects that benefit and serve the employees of Iredell Health System.
Humanitarian
CANCER PATIENT SUPPORT FUND
The Cancer Patient Support Fund assists anyone receiving active treatment and needs help with transportation, lodging, support group activities and discretionary support. Iredell Health Foundation maintains and administers the Cancer Patient Support Fund in conjunction with the Oncology Department.
Lights of Love as an annual free community gathering hosted by the Iredell Health Foundation to honor a caregiver or in memory of a loved one. Proceeds from this event fund the Cancer Patient Support Fund at Iredell, assisting anyone receiving active treatment and needing help with transportation, lodging, support group activities and discretionary support.
WOMEN'S HEALTH FUND
The Women's Health Fund provides support to qualifying women who cannot meet the financial obligation for health and preventative services. Because of your generous donors the fund supports services including preventative screening such as mammograms ultrasound scans and diagnostics.
Join us for our first International Women's Day Breakfast event on March 8, 2023. The event will be held yearly on the first Wednesday each March. Details to be announced soon.
THE BIRTH PLACE FUND
The Birth Place Fund gives our local mothers and their babies are great start! Gifts to this fund provides newborn essentials to families in financial need. These essentials may include transportation expenses, baby clothing, blankets, and car beds. Your investment helps our tiniest of patients.
GRATEFUL PATIENTS & FAMILIES FUND
The Grateful Patients & Families Fund provides an opportunity to express appreciation while giving a helping hand to patients in need. Grateful patients & Families of Iredell is the Iredell Foundation's annual Fund, which supports numerous unmet patient needs throughout the Iredell Health System.
